My Millville Memories
As a past resident of Millville in the 90’s, I have great memories. I started my family in Millville, NJ. I remember taking our small jet ski boat out for fishing at least three times a week. We used to go out of Fowser road and fish for striped bass during its season. My biggest striped bass was a 41inch striped bass in the Maurice River. Joined by friends, I enjoyed riding jet skis in the river. We used to ride our bikes up and down Main Street and grab an ice cream cone at blinker Frozen Custard on the corner of Cedar St. My favorite has always been a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. It’s the messiest of ice cream cone choices you could order on a hot day. I remember being pregnant and roller blading up and down Main Street. I used to take my sons to Corson Park to ride bikes around the pond and play with their friends on the swings in the playground.
For the time I lived in Millville, I enjoyed the convenience of both city and shore. I took advantage of the shore more than the city. With children, the best summer nights were spent at the amusement parks in Wildwood, NJ. At that time, I was working in Egg Harbor Township which was only a 30 minute commute. In that time of my life, Millville was the perfect location to raise my family.
